Does anybody know (when/if) Mandriva 2009 will be available ? I would like to run / build Anki but it requires newer versions of both PyQt and Qt (and depending libraries)
The easiest solution would be to use an OS that already has them

Actually there will be no 2009.0 We will directly move to 2009.1 . The move is scheduled to happen at the same time as the official 2009.1 release or maybe slightly after.
Else you can try to use the debian image that we have uploaded and see if it works. You can find the link in the OLPH Wiki.

Following up on your question, we should have a beta release of 2009.1 end of October.
